Returns, Cancellation & Refund Policy

At CGH Art Store, every piece is handmade, curated, and quality-checked before dispatch. We work with independent artists and limited-edition creations. Because of the nature of handmade art, our policies are strict — but fair.

Each purchase directly supports an independent artist. We request customers to shop responsibly and mindfully.

1️⃣ Return Eligibility

We do not accept returns for change of mind.

Returns are accepted only under the following conditions:

  • Product arrives physically damaged

  • You receive a completely wrong product

  • There is a major manufacturing defect

All return requests are subject to verification and approval.

❌ Returns Not Accepted For:

  • Change of mind

  • Minor color variations due to screen/display differences

  • Texture variations inherent in handmade products

  • Size misunderstanding (when dimensions are clearly mentioned)

  • Late gifting decisions

  • Incorrect address provided by customer

  • Refusal to accept delivery

  • Minor handmade imperfections (these are part of handcrafted art)

📹 Damage Claim Process (Mandatory)

To protect both buyers and artists, we follow a strict verification process.

If your product arrives damaged:

You must:

  • Inform us within 24 hours of delivery

  • Share a full, uninterrupted unboxing video

  • Share clear images of the damage

  • Provide your order number 

Important:

  • The unboxing video must start before opening the package

  • It must clearly show the outer packaging condition

  • The entire opening process must be visible

  • Claims without an unboxing video will not be accepted

  • Claims raised after 24 hours will not be considered

This process ensures transparency and protects genuine buyers as well as our artists.

🔁 Return & Verification Process

Step 1: Inform
Email us within 24 hours with required proof. Our email address is store@thecreativegeniushub.com

Step 2: Verification
Our team will review the claim within 48 hours.

Step 3: Return Shipment
If approved:

  • The product must be shipped back in original packaging

  • Product must be unused and in the same condition

  • Return shipment must be initiated within 5 days of approval

  • Shipping cost will be borne by the customer (unless wrong product was shipped by us)

We recommend using a reliable courier service and sharing tracking details.

💳 Refund Policy

CGH Art Store does not provide monetary refunds to bank accounts or original payment modes, except in rare cases of order cancellation before dispatch.

Approved refunds will be issued as:

🎟 Store Credit (Coupon Code Only)

  • Valid for 6 months from date of issuance

  • One-time use only

  • Cannot be combined with other offers

  • Cannot be reissued if expired

💰 Applicable Deductions

The following deductions may apply:

  • ₹250 towards forward and reverse shipping (if applicable)

  • ₹125 if shipping was originally offered free

  • 5% payment gateway deduction for prepaid order cancellations

  • COD token amount is non-refundable if delivery is refused

If a refund coupon was used in a new order and that order is returned, only the remaining eligible value will be credited.

❌ Order Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be cancelled only before dispatch.

  • Once shipped, orders cannot be cancelled.

  • Prepaid cancellations before dispatch:

    • Refunded to original mode (after 5% PG deduction), OR

    • Converted into store credit

⏳ Refund Processing Timeline

  • Store credit will be issued within 3–5 working days after:

    • Successful verification

    • Return product inspection (if applicable)

📦 Important Notes About Handmade Products

Every artwork is handmade. Slight variations in:

  • Brush strokes

  • Texture

  • Finish

  • Color tones

are natural and not considered defects.

Handmade art carries the beauty of human creation — not factory uniformity.
